Promax UK is committed to promoting diversity in TV. We have partnered with ‘So You Wanna Be In TV?’ an award winning, grass roots, social enterprise. They provide free employability skills for at risk, financially disadvantaged and diverse youth interested in a TV career. SYWBITV? mentor young people with a burning desire to work in TV, giving them the tools and connections to make it happen. Promax UK is working with SYWBITV to enable TV companies to access entry level and junior talent, and provide recruiting expertise for diversity initiatives across TV.
This year our new Next Gen initiative aims to track a group of SYWBITV? candidates as they join Promax members for work experience. Currently we have young people working with the Promax chairs on the conference, ENVY post production, Channel 5, and producing Periscope videos (@pericasteam) with Definition 6.
