We’re told never to look back and focus on where were going. Let’s be honest we all look back otherwise they wouldn’t have invented the rear-view mirrors. A quick glance in the opposite direction can provide all the comfort we need. With the end of Promax UK 2015 we would certainly be remiss if we didn’t have a full ex-lover breakdown. So have your tissue and Haagen-Dazs (other ice creams providers are available) at the ready.

I could be lazy and write the conference was good. The award such was fun. If I did that however I would be missing out on so much detail. It would be a disservice to the amount of effort that went into the two days. I don’t want to fall into a paragraph of clichés but if I do that please forgive me. Over the two days creatives from across the industry were treated with a smorgasbord (guess the word of the day) of options. It was filled with sessions that whet your appetite. It covered all the bases. It was a real tour de force of inspiration. People were sometimes forced into a Sophie choice like decision.

It would difficult to pick out highlights. On one session I personally attended people had to be turned away, including board members. The buzz and excitement was sustained throughout both days. The turnout was exceptional providing you with sense of how anticipated Promax is. It is the opportunity to gauge the direction your industry is heading. The sessions provided a package that encapsulated pockets of interest in fun and informative ways. You sat down knowing that people cared about what they were doing. It was orchestrated by people in your field, so it was genuine. So a pick thanks to all session producers and especially our chairs.

Now to the awards show and the final part of the recap. Adam Buxton sure knows how to keep an audience interested. What could have been along evening was truly pleasant. Being in the London Hilton prestige is already confirmed. Don’t let anybody tell you that people who spend most of their time in hoody’s can’t dress. The whole show was a feast for the eyes. Excitement at winning and disappointment and losing were apparent. It drove home the fact that the awards mean something. The recognition that your work is being recognised is always a nice feeling. I hope you enjoyed Promax UK 2015 and are marking the days until the next one.
